High Blood Cholesterol Doesn't Choose Your Size, No Matter Your Body Type
😱 Even if you're thin and have a good figure, you're not exempt from this silent threat! Did you know that the dangerous "high blood cholesterol" doesn't always choose overweight people? ❌ No matter your size or body type, you're at risk! Today, the Department of Health will help you understand the real causes and how to deal with high blood cholesterol. 👇✨
Blood fat is the fat that dissolves in the bloodstream, different from the fat accumulated under the skin.
What are some of the causes? 🤔
🧬 Overproduction (Genetics)
The body produces some cholesterol in the blood itself. Some people have genes that cause the liver to produce too much cholesterol.
🍩 Hidden Fats
Eating fried foods, packaged snacks, and baked goods (trans fats), even if you don't have abdominal obesity, the fat will unknowingly accumulate on the walls of blood vessels.
🩺 Complications
Diabetes or thyroid disease can also affect abnormal lipid levels.
🚨 What to Do 🚨
Those aged 35 and older, or those in high-risk groups, such as those with obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of heart disease, should take immediate action. Regular annual health checkups are recommended to monitor total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglyceride levels. ✅
